這是快要倒閉的SQUARE作品，亦因為她的成功，令公司逃過倒閉一劫。這就是現今著名的遊戲《 FINAL FANTASY 》首個作品，為日式RPG打出根基。這種指令式的角色扮演遊戲，橫向的戰鬥畫面為最大特徵，讓玩家令原來沈悶的戰鬥增加視覺效果，並設立上位和下位職業之分，擁有良好的遊戲系統，是當年甚為少見。

STORY
騎士加蘭特綁架科內尼利亞公主，四名從異世界來的戰士將公主救回後，得「光之戰士」之稱號，並受委託令失去光輝的四顆水晶回復光輝，四名主角從而展開了旅程。

Final Fantasy is a fantasy role-playing video game developed and published by Square in 1987. It is the first game in Square's Final Fantasy series, created by Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Story
The game begins with the appearance of the four youthful Light Warriors, the heroes of the story, who each carry one of the darkened Orbs. Initially, the Light Warriors have access to the Kingdom of Coneria and the ruined Temple of Fiends. After the Warriors rescue Princess Sara from the evil knight Garland, the King of Coneria builds a bridge that enables the Light Warriors' passage east to the town of Pravoka.
